Apart from being a mad-keen surfer, Caroline is a seriously good writer. She will work through the most complicated arguments about abstruse subjects until they are not only easily comprehensible to lay people but also a pleasure to read.
Although already aware of her work, Caroline was recommended to me by a colleague as a potential freelance news writer for Journalism.co.uk in its early days. The recommendation was an excellent one and Caroline did a fantastic job of developing our news, always delivering well-written and pertinent copy on time. (In fact, one of her news stories still holds the site record for the most number of views – in excess of 60,000!) She stopped working regularly for us when we were finally able to employ full-time journalists but has occasionally contributed features and has kept us up to date with her movements. I would thoroughly recommend her as a journalist and writer to anybody; she will very competently turn her hand to any kind of writing, whether it be news, features or corporate writing, you won’t be disappointed.
Caroline worked with us to manage the Microsoft cloud community on LinkedIn. Her work was excellent in all conditions, from defining and setting up the community to working with the client to develop their best content. She acted as liaison between community and brand to ensure everyone’s needs were represented and answered. She is a professional and a pleasure to work with.
Caroline has the ability to turn complicated issues, jargon and politics into clear and effective communications messages. I would highly recommend her.
Caroline has done regular work for ItsOpen and I can highly recommend her. She’s a good researcher and writer, always makes her deadlines and produces quality work.
Caroline was one of the best freelance writers I used while I was editor of Inside Housing, and I’d have no hesitation in recommending her.
